QuickSound is a program to quickly play sound bites. There are a few versions I have been playing with… and here they are.
jQuickSound
Just recently I wrote a new version of QuickSound in Java. You can launch it from the link below using Java WebStart. If you have java installed it should just run.
Instructions to run the app.. click “trust” to trust the app (it has to access the .wav files you point it to) and when it runs you simply click on the “…” button to pick a folder with a bunch of .wav files in it. jQuickSound will show you all the files as buttons in a grid and show sub-folders as blue linked buttons that opens a new window with that folder’s sounds. Click on the buttons to play the sounds. Simple as that. (Java is a bit touchy on what formats it will play though. So some of your files may not play. Sorry. I ran my .wav files thru a batch converter to make them all mp3 files and they all play.)

QuickSound Web
Here is a Flash based version that is like a mini version of QuickSound. Click on the links below to run them in a new browser window. They are self-contained noise makers with a little visual fun added in. I am working on getting this version customizable online so users can create their own QuickSound packs with custom skins and visuals.
